2015 Annual show

This year’s annual show was held in conjunction with Crowborough Town Fair at Goldsmiths on Saturday July 11, 2015.

Exceptionally dry weather conditions in spring and early summer severely depleted the fruit and vegetable classes of this year’s Show, but the many colourful floral exhibits more than compensated.

The total number of entries in adult classes was up by about 40 on the previous year, with some new names appearing in the prize lists. A welcome boost in numbers came from children entering independently or as part of a family, a trend the Society is keen to encourage. Unfortunately children’s classes were down overall as only two local schools participated this time.

Jarvis Brook and Whitehill School gardening clubs again put on impressive displays of their year’s work, and many of their pupils entered both adult and children’s classes, with commendable success.
